Do you know your history?

Local man Alan Cook  has been in touch with the website about a project he is working on.  Allan says "I am currently updating the volume on the history of the parish of Radyr - to be published in 2011 or 2012. In your web site you say that Radyr Court was built in the 15th century. Have you any more information to confirm this? My problem is that Thomas Mathew, the founder of the Radyr branch of the Mathew family - married one of the two heiresses of Radyr Uchaf - near the present Radyr Comp. Her sister married into one of the families of the vale. My question is whether Thomas continued to live at Radyr Uchaf or whether he moved to Radyr Isaf (Radyr Court). If he moved does that mean that a house already existed at the site on which later Mathews enlarged. I'd be grateful if you have any information or this subject, or if anyone from the area is interested in working on the subject."
